AG 2743 in Acocks Green Liveries - Final Livery |
|---|
| This isn't scrapped. It's being preserved |
|---|
| Hello there. I'm sorry for the incorrect info. For some reason I'd recieved notification that this bus had been scrapped-even though it isn't |
|---|
| Have you seen this bus lately.Looking good. |
|---|
| Basicly it has 'WM West Midlands Travel' logos. |
| |
AG 2757 Warwick Road, Acocks Green Liveries - Final Livery |
|---|
| Why has 2757 been withdrawn |
|---|
| I think 2757 has been withdrawn for a long time. It may well have been sold |
|---|
| It is now owned by centrebus leicester, but it is in terrible condition, the roof is leaking and the whole upstairs deck is damp |
| |
HY 2779 Colmore Row Liveries - Final Livery |
|---|
| It looks nice seeing 2779 on the 29! |
|---|
| I think 2779 has been reinstated at WN because i seen 2779 on Friday in Wolverhampton Bus Station i couldn't get the route it was on but i know i seen it |
|---|
| It has been at (WN) since last year! |
| |
 2669 St.Pauls Bus Station, Walsall Liveries - WMT/TWM Silver/Blue |
|---|
| My god this old girl could move my Grandad drove her once just before he retired from Walsall garage for the last time 2669 was a hellfire bus R.I.P 2669 |
|---|
| Why was it scrapped? Was it chassis rot? |
| |
Now Sold 2983 (WT) Working on the 13 prior to the delivery of Geminis for this route. Coventry Liveries - Travel Coventry |
|---|
| This is Coventry's best MCW and if they withdraw it, they better keep them gates shut because i'll be down there and not very happy! lol |
|---|
| Yeh and me! Me and you will be driving it back to Cov! |
|---|
| And they have!!! It's in the tram shed next to 1080 |

3045 Fox and Goose Farewell to Route 28 Metrobuses |
|---|
| service 28 will be operated by ex-walsall volvo b10b`s
from 29th JANUARY 2007 DUE TO THE RE-ROUTING IN ERDINGTON TO AVOID SOUTH ROAD. THE ROUTE WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO USE DOUBLE DECK. IT`S A BIG SHAME AS THIS ROUTE 28/28A IS THE BIGEST USER OF METROBUSES AT PERRY BARR. 20 METROBUS MK2A`S WILL TRANSFER TO WALSALL TO REPLACE OLDER METROBUS MK2`S. |
|---|
| Thanks. I was unsure of the conversion date. Also, Coventry will receive Geminis from Brum route 37, when that is converted to single deck, to replace most/all of Travel Coventry's Metros. |
|---|
| they better not remove the 2926, 2931, 2933, 2945 and 2949 and withdraw them! We will soon see |
|---|
| Ignore the comment about the Coventry Geminis, that was just a rumour but a lot of fleet movements are happening at the moment, so a lot could happen in the next few months. |
|---|
| I saw 3045 near Broad Street on route 11E going to Erdington Six Ways via Erdington. I thought the Outer Circle was run by AG? |
|---|
| I believe that is was shared between the 2 garages 11A was run by Acocks Green & the 11C was run by Perry Barr until it was concentrated solely by Acocks Green |
|---|
| Yes I know about this - but 3045's sighting was recent? I also saw 2995 |
|---|
| Unless Perry Barr still do the occassional running board on the 11 maybe the school run 11s not sure
|---|
| PB run an 11E at rush hour which is operated by a metrobus which usually terminates at erdington |

| I haven't seen a Metrobus on the 351 for a long time!!!!! |

| Maybe Walsall had to loose a few more to make way 4 low floor buses |
| |
LH 2503 Pavillion Central, Birmingham Liveries - Final Livery |
|---|
| We need old photos of the 51 being branded. This bus still has the ex 51 and 52 branding stickers on its windows. Anyone with the 2501, 2503, 2504, 2978, 3046 and 3069 as being branded the 51? Or any other metrobus which was branded. |
|---|
| 2500 was also branded for the 51 |

BC 2896 Corporation Street, Birmingham Liveries - Final Livery |

| This wasn't on loan to WN. West Bromwich had two running boards on the 79 from March - October 2005. |

Now scrapped 2940, D940 NDA (AG) Lichfield Street, Wolverhampton Liveries - Brandings and Specials |
|---|
| An excellent photo. I really think that this livery suites the metrobus the best and should be compulasory on all twm metrobuses. Agree? |
|---|
| Not really, maybe to the other DP Metros at Walsall, the 2920, 2926, 2931, 2933, 2945, 2949 |
|---|
| 2940 was never one of my favourites. Often wondered why this one never had the same style of destination board as the others in this set? |
|---|
| Originally this was fitted with the narrow style destination blinds when it was changed to this I am not sure. It can be seen in its former glory on this site along with 2954 which was a victim of arson so had to be rebuilt to how it was when it was sold in 2003. This is the site www.wmt.fpic.co.uk. in question |

 2644 Townend, Walsall Liveries - WMT/TWM Silver/Blue |
|---|
| Unusual for this bus to have its front number plate where it used to have an MCW badge. |
|---|
| Quite a few mk2's had the reg put there to my knowledge 2693 2985 3023 3024 have had their front reg put in there. I'm not sure why iy was done tho apart from it was done after a repaint was done
|---|
| 2693 doesn't have the reg where the MCW badge was - the rest do |

2999 (PB) Acocks Green Farewell to the Perry Barr Metrobus |
|---|
| Was the 11A/C operated by PB before being transfered to AG? I take it this picture was taken in Acocks Green, there is a metro in 'The One' pink branding, and a Plaxton President, probably on the 37, have I got my facts right? |
|---|
| It was probably just the 1, and the 11A was operated by AG, used AG metro's and the 11C was operated by PB |
|---|
| The president can't be on the 37 as that road is Shirley Road. |
|---|
| yes but they loop back round the island |

AG 3086 Yardley Wood Liveries - Final Livery |
|---|
| Did this bus (and 3085) used to be branded for the 900? I may have remembered wrong but i'm sure these had the 900 stickers on the windows when they first moved to Acocks Green. |
|---|
| why has this bus withdrawn for |
|---|
| Since route 1 has no Metros on any more, this vehicle is no longer needed |
|---|
| yeah but this bus can go to wn |
|---|
| yeah but this bus can go to wn |
|---|
| Well they can be used on the 76, a BIG user of metro's at AG. And 3086 shouldn't have been withdrawn because of new buses. AG have made 3086 redundant. Transfer it its cruel. Shame on AG. Take it to WN |
|---|
| 3086 was withdrawn from AG reinstated to WN then withdrawn again, i dont know if this bus will ever enter service again.
|---|
| It has a Travel Coventry logo on it now lol, hope it goes back out into service (I wish to Coventry, where it was new to!) |

3074 was one of many that had blue tape applied over the old livery, and looked quite tatty Farewell to the Coventry Metrobus |

| I remember 3074 when it was branded to work on the 900 whenever i went to coventry when the metros were operating the 900 i always got either 3073 or 3074 also what do you mean she looked quite tatty she doesn't look tatty at all to me |
|---|
| I Like the two please let buses pull out stickers. Is this bus still going strong in Coventry. |
|---|
| yes still going strong and is one of coventrys eleven finest |
|---|
| It needs a Please Let Buses Pull Out livery, nobody ever does it! |

| This bus is no longer with TWM. It was branded for the 1, but was withdrawn some time ago. It was donted to the Tsunami appeal in Sri-Lanka |
|---|
| Oh when was it sold? I actually found out that 2549, 2749 and 2849 all carried, and 2849 still does, the One Branding. Did 2649 have the one branding? |

2688 Upper deck interior facing forward. Odds and Ends |

WN 3067 Dudley Street, Sedgley Liveries - Final Livery |
|---|
| I thought the 58 went to Sheldon and was operated by BC!?!?! Lol!? |
|---|
| Its supposed to be 558 the driver has missed out a 5 |
|---|
| Some drivers dont put the '5' first as they are the only routes in WN. |
|---|
| Before the routes had number 5's put in front of them at Wolverhampton, this route used to be the 58, which notably was Wolverhampton's last Trolleybus route. The reason it shows 58 here is because one of the number blinds is broken. |
|---|
| The '5' are not the only route run by WN. The 529 is run by WA, the 523 is run by WB....... |
|---|
| As a general rule, also the 529 was jointly operated by Wolverhampton and Walsall before West Midlands PTE was formed and it has kept it's number. Also the 523 has been operated by also MH and wouldn't surprise me if it has been operated by WN. |
|---|
| Traditionally they are '5' prefixed routes, of course there will be anomolies. Some routes may feature the 5, such as the 523 to fit in with existing groups of routes, in this case the the 525-8 and 530. The 590 in Birmingham has the 5' as it is a former Midland Red route where they had their own numbering system, and the 529 used to be a joint Walsall/Wolverhampton route. |
|---|
| sure i saw this bus on pendefords the other day!"??... has it been reinstated? |

2941, D941 NDA (PB) on route 103, Broad Street, Birmingham. Photo by Richard Unusual Workings and Fill-ins |
|---|
| Woooo! My photo =)
Ahhhh! Only seen the 2941 these days on excursions, i want it to be on a PB route, maybe the 904. Ahh that will bring back the Good Old Days of the 102A 104A and 105A on the Aston Expressway generally using DP Metrobuses. Oh, maybe the 934 should see this, would remind me of the old 998 :) |
|---|
| I remember them on the 102, 102A, 104, 104A, 105, 105A, it was great! Shame the B7TL/ALX400s arrived. :-(
Anyway, where did the 998 go? |
|---|
| The 998 ran alongside the 995-998 along to Kingstanding Circle from Birmingham, and then with the 998 used to terminate at Pheasey Deeps Leap and the 997 continued to Walsall |
|---|
| So there was:
995:- Birmingham to ???
996:- Birmingham to Sutton Coldfield via Kingstanding, now Route 196
997:- Birmingham to Walsall
998:- Birmingham to Pheasey
Where did the 995 go? |
|---|
| Is there a certain road all of these routes go along? Cos if so they should all have branding! As with Pershore Rd, Cov Rd, Walsall Rd and Dudley Rd. Did the 995 go to Kingstanding? |
|---|
| The 995 did go to Kingstanding, then went Aldridge (along through Hundred Acre) and then carried on to Brownhills. They all went along the Kingstanding Rd. |

WMPTE Bristol VR/MCW 4361. Cannock Bus Station. Photo by Alan Other WMPTE Vehicles |
|---|
| So, route 304 is now route 351?
and.. the CHASERIDER, was that later
chase bus services?
|---|
| WMT's Bristol VRs were bodied by MCW, not Park Royal. There were 200 in total and they were the only VRs with MCW bodies. |
|---|
| These look really strange compared to the 'normal' VR shape. Shame I never travelled on one of these (too young!!) but I have been on VRs and they give a good ride - not as good as the Metros though obviously! |
|---|
| No, Chaserider was part of Midland Red |
|---|
| The 304 was one of several Walsall - Cannock - Hednesford services at the time, and I think it ran via Cheslyn Hay like the 351 does now. Chaserider was indeed the Cannock (and Stafford) brand name used by Midland Red from 1980. I liked WMPTE VRs - nice to ride on, but I believe not as robust as the Fleetlines. |

2862 with Unusual rear window arrangement, shortly before being transferred to YW Farewell to the Coventry Metrobus |
|---|
| This bus is wicked and now it has been transfered to Yardley Wood i can see more of it. It suits it dont you think? |
|---|
| Yeah, its good and wierd, like the inside body shell of the 2989. |
|---|
| Thats odd. The only metroes to have the larger windscreens are the MK2a's |
|---|
| i think they just get parts of the other metros and stick them together. |
|---|
| I think the rear top windows of the B7 Presidents and MkII (F --- XOF) are the same. But imagine having a gemini with the front of a metrobusand rear of a lynx! |

Scanias at Druids Heath 1993 Other WMT/TWM Vehicles |
|---|
| These buses were excellent. My school has 6 buses come into the playground. 5 are from Birmingham Central these were all operated mostly using these scanias. They were excellent buses and i was sad to see them go. Now we have Alexander Dennis Tridents and they are not as good as those scanias. One of Birminghams best buses. Does anybody know why they actually went, they went before the metrobuses which are older? |
|---|
| These buses were withdrawn earlier as these buses were non standard; only one small batch being in existance compared with several batches of Metrobuses. This meant that spare parts would have been harder to come by for the Scanias.
Another thing is that they would have a higher second hand value; more money for buying newer buses. Hope this is of help, Tom. |
|---|
| Yes these were indeed nice buses to ride on. Always remember them creaking a lot, but not rattling or shaking themselves to pieces. Would be nice to see one preserved as I travelled on these regularly on Sundays when they were used on the 45. Market value stands at around £20,000 for these, so will be a while before they reach preservation price. |

| Are all of these on the 50????????? |
|---|
| Yes believe it or not, the route was slightly more frequent then than it is now! |
|---|
| personally i think this is terrible having like 5 [+2 probably behind] on one route. thats like 500+ seats worth of buses. Its amazing how many buses are used on the 50. Why though? sure, it gets busy. but it doesnt have to run every 3-5 minutes |
|---|
| At this time Your Bus 50Y was competing with TWM 50. The 50 has always been busy - even in the early 1980s WMPTE days it ran every 4 minutes off-peak. |

| Ive read a couple of times now that when 6835 entered service, it was new to Washwood Heath garage, is this correct? I was always led to believe it was new to Miller street! WH had prototypes 6831 and 7007, infact I remember 6831 as a small child, think 7007 went to AG shortly after. Dont even remember seeing 7007 until at least 1993!! but 6835? must have moved after a very short time at WH if it did indeen run from there?! |

| i got on 2801 it look good on the outside but looked horrible on the inside, banging noise on the side and like these silver plates where it was sealed. |

| What a great working! I said on Tony Hunter's website under the picture of 1158 it would be nice to see a lynx on the 16 and here we are! I thought the 16 was run by PB or was it run by HY before the closure |
|---|
| Also sorry forgot to ask I thought buses on loan to a different depot apart from LE.D. buses would only display the route number because there are no destination blinds. Was 1219 fitted with HY destinations? |
|---|
| The vehicle was on loan to HY shortly before the depot closed. The vehicle was used on various HY routes, and was fitted with blinds |
|---|
| Oh right. Was the 16 at HY before the closure? Did BY replace HY? I'd have thought the 16 would be at BY if it was formerly at HY but its at PB!! |
|---|
| When Hockley (HY) closed, the 16 briefly went to West Bromwich (WB)!!! Now it is run by Perry Barr (PB). |

| An absolutely heartbreaking photo for a big fan of the Metrobus. 1. cos its a BOK/V and even more so seeing as it is one of the first 10 TWM production run. |
|---|
| Yeah I agree I remember riding this bus when it was allocated to the selly oak garage with 2001-2008 & 2010-2015, to school & back. It is a shame to see it like this but it had a good run |
|---|
| Very disturbing I know but BOK1V is not scrapped. The most disturbing pic of a Metro is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8050359@N07/1715143185/in/set-72157601395368173/

| The stark contrast between a Walsall based and a W'ton based bus. Having worked at both WA and PL garages, I can say with a degree of confidence that Walsall definetly take a pride in their vehicles, where as W'ton simply couldn't care less. |

| Towards the end of 90s pl had a lot of MK1s drafted in.And some were very tatty indeed. And i hate to agree but pl never has had much in the way of pride. |

| The route that 2590 is on in the pic is from when Harts Hill garage was still open. Not sure if 2590 was a Walsall allocated bus then but it certainly wasn't an Harts Hill bus, at least not long term. I'd imagine they'd loaned it either off Quinton especially as the route 137 went passed the changeover point for Quinton drivers and many a time that's where, if there was a problem with a Harts Hill bus on this route, Quinton garage staff would change over; or it possibly could've been a Dudley allocated bus, which again was close to Harts Hill. The only bus now that goes from Walsall to Merry Hill is the Diamond bus 310. |
|---|
| definitely looks to me like an HL sticker in the window. when did HL close? i think they were still running at least some of the 566 [Merry Hill - Wolverhampton] in late 1993. i seem to recall hearing a rumour not long afterwards that the newly taken over Metrowest were to move into HL, but in the end Metrowest was closed down. |

| Yes, it is an Harts Hill sticker in the window, and I can honestly say I'm not sure when it arrived! Certainly circa. 1986, 2590 was allocated to Washwood Heath Garage (from a group 2586 - 2600), I can only presume WH didn't want it and it was chosen to replace an HL Fleetline or if I remember correctly the year, this was around the time the 9's (B/ham - Stourbridge) became joint operation between HL and Quinton! Again, living, breathing and driving the buses (unfortunatley not HL, which i regret!) in and around this area, I'm 99% positive HL didn't do a 566 working - surely that's a CR/PL working? Yes at the time many a rumour was abound about Metrowest taking over HL and as you rightly say, they didn't as they were showing the WM company up, hence almost overnight they were shut down, even though they were owned by WM! |
|---|
| Actually its the 300 operated by diamond that goes to Merry Hill |
|---|
| The 566 was workd from HL only.It replaced the 557/554 witch was cr operated routes. |

| HLand CR interworked the 566 when the 557 and 266 were merged, until HL closed in 1993. 2590 was indeed an HL bus, coming with a host of other Metros such 2640-3 in 1988 when HL's Fleetlines were moved out to toher garages. |

| Why does the Volvo Plaxton President display 616 on the blind? I take it this is 4082, as this is the only bus that is under the code HY. Nice to see the long-gone 3124, but wasn't it at WN so why does it say Birmingham via Londonderry and Oldbury? Also, what type of branding and what bus is that next to 3124? |
|---|
| 3124 was on loan to (HY) for a short while and it displayed a (WB) route |
|---|
| 3124 is now scrapped it was supposed to be at either PB or WN |
|---|
| Was 2831 at Walsall for a while back in 2002 2003? |
|---|
| Yes. It was transferred form HY to WN. Then it went to WA. Then it was withdrawn |

| Did the 616 used 2 be operated by twm, it wud be rare 2 see a d/d used on it |

| TWM for some reason decided to cover them up, I believe so that a full length side advert could be applied in a specially applied box surround so that they could illuminate it at night, cos inside the mk2a's the 2 access hatches are still there. I have seen them on a Plaxton President B7L, not sure which one was a couple of months ago. |

| The 125 was a short working of the 126 to Dudley. As far as I can remember, it went exactly the same route as the 126. It also helped 'steal' passengers when Metrowest took up operations in competition with WM on the 125. |

| Was this the original timesaver livery, as I am in 'discussions' with a friend saying the original timesaver livery was the 'red-stripe'? Nevertheless, great photo. |
|---|
| This was the second Timesaver livery the original livery was alover silver with a blue above a red stripe where the red band is now on the remaining metrobuses. This livery is depicted on 2953 in Metros 2911-2974 in fact 2957 also has the original livery. Hope this clears up your discussion.

| Well spotted Des, as i had not noticed that before ! I have got some photo's of this Bus being painted in this Yellow livery, at Harnall Lane Garage Paint Shop in Coventry and an MCW Badge that i have got here, was given to me by one of the Painter's from this Garage. Why i mention this is, because the MCW Badge i was given, has got some Yellow paint around the edge of it and so i was right all along, in thinking that it came off 2162 !!! |

| I've never seen a metrobus on the 501 before!! And not one as old as 2818 (apart frm 2779) or even in the grey livery! |
|---|
| The 501 used to be 100% Metrobus until 2004, being one of the first casualties of the new Transbus Trident 2's. Metrobuses still work as fill ins on the 501, although not as old as this!!! Unless of course you are lucky enought to find 2779 on it. |
|---|
| why was this bus scrapped |
|---|
| for a while a group of ten Metrobuses [3100-3110, skipping 3107] was semi dedicated to the 501. they were fitted with transponders to change the traffic lights at the bottom of the Rock in their favour so they didn't have to tackle it from a standing start. 2818 would have struggled a bit, methinks. |

| What branding is 2526 branded for behind? |
|---|
| Orange would suggest it was for the 103 route when both the 101 and 103 routes were labelled as 'centrebuses' |
|---|
| The 103 was originally branded the Brindleyplace Shuttle not centrebus. It was where the logo is now on the sides of the bus |
|---|
| Oh ok. So was Brindleyplace Shuttle on the white blind as well as I remember the 103 had these under the top destination blind? The 101 had the white blind too (saying Centrebus) so thats where I may have been mistaken. |
|---|
| I have a picture of 2745 in the Brindleyplace shuttle routebranding which says in the bottom blind centrelink so you half right with centrebus lol. I can send a copy in to twmphotopics if you |

| was this picture taken today (Sun 23 July 2006)?
how long is it on loan to west bromwich for?
are there any more of these on loan aswell? |
|---|
| It was taken on Sat 22nd July. Yes others were in use. 3062 was operating on the 82, and 2909 operated on route 404. |
|---|
| sorry that was route 450, not 404 |
|---|
| I dont know about the others on loan to WB from PB, but the 2903, 2995, 3014, 3051 was on the 451 today (24 July 2006) |
|---|
| Today, on the 451 was the 2903, 3014, 3051 and 3062. |

| There were loads today from PB on the 451.
2903, 2909, 2975, 2995, 3014, 3051 and 3062.
Was surprised to see another addition to the loan to PB. Got pics of 2903, 2909, 2995, 3014, 3051 and 3062. I saw the 2975 at the Scott Arms but a lorry blocked the view =( |

| So the 3021 and 2779 have joined the mix of metros at WB. |

| When a bus is on loan to a different garage, it doesnt usually have the blinds. Unless what ever garage the bus is operated by origianally operate a service to a destination whatever its loaned to. Therefore, if 2995 is run by (PB), and is on loan to (WB), does (PB) operate a service that goes to Blackheath, which is a destination operated by (WB)? (Confusing!!) NB = This would only apply to rollerz, inc. Volvos, metroes and B7 Presidents |
|---|
| PB and HY blinds were identical, Blackheath is on the blind as HY used to run the 128/9. |

|---|
| 2916 was sold latter to that operator which have also got 2084 as a source of spares |
|---|
| No, I believe 2916 was sold first, in 2003 whilst the 2913 was sold later, either late 2004 or early 2005 |
|---|
| Sorry I didn't realise 2916 was sold to another operator in 2003 before going to Huggins and Simmons in 2006. 2913 was sold to Huggins and Simmons in 2005 |

| Why was this bus scrapped? |
|---|
| Another victim of chassis rot, 2960 was scrapped in August 2004 |
|---|
| Hello there. Please can this bus be unscrapped and reinstated on the 900 route. |
|---|
| Yes but if you tried it would mean dismantling another bus with 2960s parts! |
|---|
| Some confusion over the 2960. It appears it wasn't scrapped due to chassis rot. It was sold to Southern Transit in Brighton in 2003 but was scrapped in 2004 after someone set it on fire |

PB 2959 Works on the 11, just prior to the withdrawl of Metros from the route. Bournville. (re-scan) Liveries - Final Livery |
|---|
| Has 2959 ever worked on the 900? |
|---|
| Yes 2959 did work on the 900 becuase i got on 2959 several times on the 900 before 2933, 2934, 2935 and 2936 and some other metro i can't number them but i did see a few more metros on the 900 i can remember 1 metro i got on on the 900 from Birmingham to Sheldon and that number metro was 2543 when the 900 was based at BC |
|---|
| It sure did, got it a couple of times, with 2911, 2918, 2922, 2923, 2924, 2928, 2929, 2933, 2934, 2935, 2936, 2942, 2946, 2947, 2948, 2949, 2950, 2952, 2954, 2955, 2956, 2957, 2958 and the 2960. Loads of times I caught DP metros on the 900 detween 2001 and 2003. It was at Walsall garage, a few of the 951 and 952 journeys used branded 900 buses, i got the 2936 as the 951. Good times, which are missed. |

Now scrapped 2622, shows the engine compartment, after the removal of the engine Miller Street Graveyard |
|---|
| This is a strange question, but where would you think the gearbox is possitioned on those things? Or was it already been taken out with the engine, though I doubt it. This question has always been puzzzling me everytime I see the MCW's on road. |
|---|
| Gearbox is mounted on the Right on the engine, More or less where the dark area is, Removed here though with the engine. |
|---|
| Aha yes, I see. I've just compared other photos to this one and it is plain as day. I guess the reason why I asked this question is because of the fact that when you remove the engine with the gearbox, the driveshaft linkage would be visible from here right? But look at it, it's so cluttered with bits and bobs. How can this thing run so smoothly with all those things in the way of it? Complicated things are they???? |
|---|
| is the gearbox connected directly to the engine, doesn't it go through an angle-drive with the gearbox at 90 degrees to the power plant? |
| |
Now scrapped 2621, 2622 and 2623 in the process of being cannibalised Miller Street Graveyard |
|---|
| I wonder what were the chances of a consecutive numerical run of three stood in line being stripped....
Horrible book-end of when they would've been finished side by side a couple of miles away at Washwood Heath... |

Now scrapped 3039 heavily cannibalised, awaits its journey to PVS Barnsley. Miller Street Graveyard |

|---|
| This must be in store. Seen on the 55 today (07/07/07) unlucky i didnt get a picture though. |
|---|
| Ths is because 2792 has been loaned to LH garage. |
|---|
| Why would it be stored then if you say it on the 55? |
|---|
| LH have alot of new single deckers? |
| |
Now sold 2920, when in store. The vehicle is currently under conversion to a Stage Bus Miller Street Graveyard |

2900 (AG) Filling in for a Volvo B7 on the 37 Unusual Workings and Fill-ins |
|---|
| Metrobuses may be common on the 31 and 37 in the final week of double deck operation maybe because the B7's are being re-painted to Travel Coventry livery, that is if they are going there. |
|---|
| Well, that was unpredicted, the new single deckers have started operation. |
|---|
| Metrobuses are still out on the 31 as fill ins, still occasionally on the 37 alongside Outer Circle branded Geminis from time to time... |
|---|
| Why would they use Outer Circle geminis when they got 11's to do? They should use some of the unbranded batch, 4652 - 4657 |
|---|
| The unbranded Geminis are actually used quite regularly pn the 37 |
|---|
| Along with the 1, 31 and 192.104. I suppose they could be used on the 72 |
|---|
| Sorry that should have been 192/194 the 104 is operated by PB! |

| Great buses, which looked better in the blue and cream livery (and red stripe livery at the end) and like the Metro's & Lynx's of today - withdrawn far too early. Happy memories as a kid sliding from one side of the bus to the other on the rear seat on the upper deck when the bus was turning, which on m ost of the Fleetlines (certainly at Hartshill) were wood, which was presumably to stop the idiots keep slashing the vinyl material of the seat! |
|---|
| This is a credit to you mr walcott, well done. |
|---|
| I really liked Fleetlines, and I remember a great ride on 6898 on the final Fleetline day back in 1997. It was sad to see them go but ... they'd had their day. Great to see 6898 looking so good here. |
|---|
| Peter, glad you enjoyed the ride on the last day, as it was a pleasure to drive it on the last day!! |
